Before this, I was the sole U.S. procurement lead at Zai Lab (NASDAQ: ZLAB), managing their entire $50M operation while establishing alignment with Shanghai headquarters.
My background in finance gave me analytical skills, but what happened at Pharmacyclics changed everything. I started in compliance, moved to procurement, and realized most of our "unsolvable" process problems could actually be fixed with the right automation. So I taught myself Python, learned SQL, and started building solutions.
